Over 500 air miles north of Vancouver, and just south of the Alaskan Panhandle lies Terrace, nestled between the coastal communities of Prince Rupert and Kitimat. For anyone who loves the outdoors, from hunters, fishermen, golfers, hikers and mountaineers to avid skiiers, this region is paradise found. In summer, many are focused in our lush valley bottoms sharing the bounty of returning salmon with the bears and eagles, hiking the many established backcountry trails, or out on the open water.

When fall turns into winter, one of the region's most attractive features is Shame's Mountain, located 35km west of Terrace. As described in Powder Magazine: "Shames receives 475 inches of annual snowfall, laying claim to one of the deepest, most consistent snow packs in North America and its backcountry access is unrivaled."
